These two topics been crazy for me this past week and a half. So much so that I needed some extra time to digest them.
I have been so consumed lately by the stress that comes with planning for my future. I was really hit by the line Stef wrote that said "I am coming to find that what matters most is not how much you study, but what you are studying." and that when we study anything other than God and His infinite attributes, we begin to worship that something or someone. I have been so concerned with my future lately that it has become something I have worshipped, causing me to become a slave to that thing. What really hit me when I read this was how miserable I have been since becoming a slave to my future plans because I have been seeking my own plan for myself instead of allowing God to lead me.

And for the topic of submission I really liked the line that said "I am convinced that we claim more of the Kingdom's power and prevalence on earth when we become like lambs to the slaughter. Victory comes not in the form of dominate followers, but sacrificial ones." I think this is such a great point and one that I constantly need to be reminded of. The last point also hit me a lot on the list that stated "To live is Christ and to die is aspiring to slavery" That point is just so beautiful. How amazing that Christ was everything the world had not expected, everything that was the opposite of what a King should be, and yet He was so much greater than any earthly king and accomplished so much more through living his life of absolute sacrifice.
