STUDY.

This week I really like the idea of studying the word of God. Of course it's been drilled into our heads that in order to be close to God we must constantly be in the word of God, however I haven't really been told that I need to study the word, although it makes complete sense. Studying is something I more associate with school and tests and everything that makes me stress out a bit, but studying God and his word is something I see in a completely different light. It is so true that the object of our study becomes the object of our worship. I know I have a horrible time management system at time and can be too concerned with school and cheer, making those things what I'm studying and not giving enough time to God. I put these other things first at times because I feel so pressured to achieve the greatest I can while neglecting my relationship with God. In the end, I'm worshiping these materialistic objects that are nothing compared to the everlasting life I will live in with Christ. I've been praying this week that I can fully realize that studying isn't about preparing for a test, but as I read my bible I study the word of God and feel refreshed and transformed with what I take away.
