Submission

I love Thomas Kelly's illustration of falling into God's hands. He says it's so overwhelming to be "wholly uprooted from all earth-born securities and assurances" which leaves us defenseless and crying out to God. Nothing earth-born even gives us true security so shouldn't we always be crying out to God? He also later uses the descriptions "exquisitely loving, infinitely patient, and tenderly smiling." That just really stuck out to me and made me feel even more blessed to be loved by this incredible God.

"Leadership is found in becoming the servant of all." Best part of the devotion!! We don't find leadership by taking control, but by falling under the control and submitting ourselves to Christ! Serving this summer will allow us to discover true leadership unlike anything we've experienced. It will challenge us to live a "cross-life" .

I was really challenged by Stef's list of ways she submits. I started a couple that I found true to me and was reminded that we find our joy in submission in all these things.
