Submission

Hey everyone,
 This weeks devotion really made me think about my obedience towards God. God's been constantly reminding me to be a submissive servant. God calls me to be compliant in my relationship with Him no matter what I'm going through. In the passage it says, " God the initiator, God the aggressor, God thseeker, God the stirrer into life, God the ground of our obedience, GOd the giver of the power to become children of God." It is through the trust and complete reliance in God that allows us to fully yield our lives to him. I've realized that God gives me peace when I let him be in control, eventhough I don't know what's going to happen; God gives me his comfort. Christ is the mere example of submission. Stef wrote "You must imitate Christ and take on the very character of God by becoming a servant." Our lives should be shadowing the life of Christ. Submission towards Christ brings forth humility. God calls us to live a life for him by glorifying and honoring him and by doing so we need to be compliant and submissive. Submission towards God should be our lifestyle as followers of Christ.
