Study (:
Hey all! I hope everyone had an amazing week last week. I'm so sorry this is a little late, last week as you may have heard, our youth group was serving in Black Mesa, Arizona so things have been amazing but a little crazy!
This weeks study on studying realtor me thinking while I was in Arizona. What am I choosing to study with each moment of my life? While I was there this really great Navaho women taught me to make fry bread and how to do some beading, during that time I was studying the culture there, but then I was thinking that God created everything and all knowledge we have can be used to help our brothers and sisters and further the kingdom of God. By this time I was thoroughly confused. It began to make sense when I read this from Stef Woodruff, "it is studying Jesus, his life, his word, and the promised written in scripture that feeds and transforms my soul." I struggle with study and often am hoping if I just pray it will be good enough. This week has taught me that if I don't spend time in God's word then none of the focus and intelligence He has blessed me with will ever be used to it's full potential if I am trying to show God through that on my own. Only with the renewing of my mind by first the study of the Lord can my other studying be used. Oter studying is good, just secondary to studying about my Almighty Father.
I hope that makes sense!
Love you guys, Kendall

Oh and I loved rereading and being reminded of Philippians 4:8, it is not something I can do on my own strength. Also in the prayer Stef wrote I have been focusing on the part that said, "may I find that nothing is more important than knowing you." I'm praying it become a reality in our lives!
