Understanding Holy Week

Hi, Everyone,

Holy week is always kind of an interesting experience. It seems like there's so much symbolism, so much meaning in the story that I'm just not seeing. It's sort of like when I'm eating ice cream, and after the first couple of bites, I realize "I know this is delicious, but I can't taste it anymore because my mouth is numb."

On the other hand, there are elements of it that really do resonate with me. I love the passage when Jesus is praying in the garden of Gethsemane and says “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” I find that those words have helped me when I pray, and sometimes I repeat them almost exactly.

I hope you all have a good last few hours of Easter!
Gwen
