Sorry for the lateness, I've been gone since last week serving in Arizona! It was an amazing week and God was showing up like crazy! I thought I'd just combine the last two devotions so I'll start with Holy Week!
Like a lot of people, this was one of the first times I really dug down deep when learning about Holy Week. It was a super enriching time for me . One of my favorite parts was when Jesus said that his crucifixion was the reason he was born into this world. It made me think about the reason we are born into this world..to tell about this crucifixion! To tell about Jesus's death and resurrection and love!
Live as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back tomorrow. This is my favorite reminder of the only true meaning of life.
Later, Jesus is talking to Thomas before he goes up to heaven and he says "There's a place for you. I'll get it ready. You know the way. I am the Way and the Truth and the Life." God is so incredible! He's prepared this amazing place for us and all we have to do is find our way through Him!
The word that stuck out to me in the Study devotion was discipline. It takes discipline to keep up with studying but it is so so rewarding! I love Philippians 4:8 and the list of things we are supposed to let our mind dwell on. A lot of the time I dont realize how toxic some of my thoughts are. It's always my prayer that I can keep my thoughts focused on God and renewed through study!
