Week Two: Meditation

Let me just begin with this: GOD IS GOOD!
I had read this week's devotional last night and planned on doing my blog entry this afternoon. When I awoke this morning my parents immediately started the days conversation around my college choices. I had not received a financial aid packet yet from my number one choice Oregon State University and I ultimately needed to make a decision about whether or not I could support myself and pay back the massive student loans I would need to take out in order for me to attend OSU. The conversation ended about an hour later when my parents told me that it was now in my hands and that I should pray about it and think it over before making my decision. After a family prayer over the matter I had to move about my day. I went to work for a few hours and by the time I had returned the mail had come. I went out to check the mail and there it was: My financial aid proposal from OSU. Not only did I receive aid, I received enough aid to cover the portion of loans I would have needed to take out.
When God forces us to take the time and think things over he brings us answers. Not always the answers we expect or the ones we want, but the answers that will lead us down the path he has planned for us. So when it came to a point when I honestly could do nothing but leave it all up to God and the plans he set in place for me I stopped, went still, and prayed.

"Stop and listen. Hear the Voice and open the door. Meditate"

    YOU'RE GOING TO OSU!!!

    Congratulations.

I LOVE this. I "checked" encouraging and interesting because I love it that much.

A friend recently reminded me it's not that God too quite but that our background noise is often too loud. And then there's moments like this where you can't deny his presence and his voice.
