Week 1: PRAYER

Hey guys! It was so great getting to read the previous posts and being so encouraged!

So, I figured I would kinda format this with what end notes triggered each thought. Here it goes:

2) This quote reminded me of a sweet song I learned as a little kid. It went something like this: "I can talk to God anytime. I can talk to God anywhere. I can talk about anything. Cause He hears my prayers. He is always there. He always hears my prayer." Yes, simplistic, but how often to I forget that I don't need big, fancy words or colossal problems to make prayer 'good'? A LOT! I just need a sincere heart, as that of a child, and God will be listening.

3) My desire in life is that I would be so intertwined with God and his desires would be my own. I want to want what God wants! And that takes prayer and dedication to truly knowing our Heavenly Father.

This was a quote that I remembered that didn't fit neatly into one category of end note so here it is:

"What you pray reflects what you believe about God."- Craig Groschel (spelling???) Wow, what a powerful statement. I often find myself holding back prayers or tailoring to something I devise as 'plausible' for God.
Pray Boldly.
Ask God for the impossible.
It doesn't mean He is going to give it to you, but it does show your trust and faith in His ability and power.

I hope everyone is doing well back at home.

  2. Thanks for the throw back on that old song. Such simple (but GOOD) truth!

    Also, I loved this:
"My desire in life is that I would be so intertwined with God and his desires would be my own."

  3. Thanks Jess! Funny how something can trigger an old memory or song tucked deep into our soul that we dont even know is there. Makes think what else is there deep in the recesses of my soul that I am unaware of? Does prayer help me find those? Does the spirit of God through prayer lead me to those? Are those things good? Bad? You got me thinking!!!

  5. As I read Reid's reply It got me thinking... how simple but how how powerful a child's mind is to absorb so much at such a young age. Incredible stuff!

    Continue to pray BOLDLY Jess!
