As I was reading this, I began thinking about how many people view prayer and the questions they have towards it. I hear so many people ask the question "If God knows all of your thoughts, desires, and needs then why do you need to pray?" This devotion really helped me see where the responsibility lies in that question. The question places the spotlight on God's search towards us, which is amazing and incredibly important, but what about our search for God? We will never know what God desires for us if we don't actively communicate with Him, which is where prayer comes into the equation.
Relationships can never be successful if the effort is only coming from one side, or at least it will always only be surface-level. Where our relationship with God depends not only on his efforts, but also on ours.
I loved and was so challenged by the part which states that "He is our destination and prayer helps place us with Jesus." Jesus is the Way, and our communication with Him leads us to that place. I am so excited to keep this mindset as I actively pursue God through prayer! Can't wait to hear more from all of you! Have a great week everyone! :)

("if God knows all of your thoughts, desires, and needs then why do you need to pray?") - i love what you say after that, "We will never know what God desires for us if we don't actively communicate with Him, which is where prayer comes into to the equation"; God chose us to follow Him and only He can keep us on the right path - i need to actively make more effort into communicating with God to see where He wants me to go, what He wants me to do, and who He wants me to talk to! great post, haley!
