Service

The second paragraph when it talks about us being slaves to Jesus who made Himself a slave was striking. That He, the God of the universe would humble Himself, even in His perfection, below the people that spend their days sinning and neglecting Him. WOWZERS! So this then begs the question of what we can do for Him in response to this great act of love and mercy? Well serve Him of course! Serve the one who fell on His knees for us and washed our feet so that we may glorify Him. Obviously there are a ton of examples in the gospels that we should strive for, but Jesus' service to man is astounding. This is by far one of the biggest examples we need to strive toward. I know that in my own life even as I'm trying to serve God I can still get wrapped up in my own plans and my own goals for what I want to achieve. But it's His will for our service that truly makes a difference in other peoples lives as well as our own.
