Hey guys!
Sorry I'm a little late but happy April and, more importantly, Happy Palm Sunday!
So, I guess the word 'meditation' has always made me feel a little uncomfortable. It makes me think of yoga poses, praising nature, finding your inner self, etc.
However, this passage gave great insight into what constant Christian meditation is. (to muse, to ponder, to reflect, to murmur persistently) And also what Christian meditation is not. (an academic study of the scriptures) I find that I often look at time with God as work because that is what I turn it into. I study the bible like it is school. "I have to read at least this far today." " I must find some deeper meaning." I say these things to myself often. While I know that a relationship with Christ takes determination and discipline, sometimes I forget how relational our father is. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me!!! Therefore, my time with him is so much more than reading words and memorizing lines, but a constant ever growing relationship.
Well, Happy Palm Sunday again everybody. God is good! Happy Holy Week.
