Study

When I think of studying, I think of analyzing something or trying to understand something at a deeper level. Studying makes us think. Having new thoughts on certain things and studying Gods word draws us closer to God because we get to know him better. God has allowed us to grow in our relationship with Him.  As Christians we should always be seeking the Lord and growing closer to Him.  In the passage it says "They may be faithful in church attendance and earnest in fulfilling their religious duties, and still they are not changed". After accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior we were transformed. It's awesome to know that I'm a new creation. I'm not like my old self; I have Jesus in my heart now and I live for him. We should study Gods Word. We shouldn't study Gods word because it is "the bible" but because it's Gods Word. I really liked what Steff said, "There is only one thing that can renew my mind; the Word of God.We should study to grow closer to God and to build our relationship with Him. The question "What are you studying" made me think of the things that I study. Are they pleasing to God? And if not why am I focusing on something that God doesn't approve of. It also makes me think of my priorities. This devotion reminded me that studying is important  in my relationship with God and we shouldn't be stagnant.
