Solitude (:

Hello everyone! :) only three more weeks until All Staff Retreat!!! I am so excited! I can't wait to see you all again and I am loving reading all of you wise words, you are all awesome!

Solitude is such a huge concept. To be entirely honest, I am a huge people person. The idea of being really alone for any really long extended period of time scares the living daylights out of me. Often that means the doubts of my day, the feelings of guilt and inadequacy crowd into my mind and all ideas of silence fly out the window. It is usually at that point where I pick up my bible and journal and try to connect that way. There are few moments when I can get my mind to focus on God and let all other things slip my mind and be truly silent and in that solitude. It in those moments that are so profound. What this devotional says is so completely true, the reason we don't like silence is beause we feel helpless. But one thing I have learned is when I reach the end of me, is when God often does so much of His work because He has my undivided attention. I want the statement "Silence is itimately related to trust" to become a reality in my life. Because this is really where my heart will be changed and where my life will begin to look more my Jesus's.

Well God Bless,
I love you all!!
