I really liked the end-note quote from Brother Lawrence; "in the noise and clatter of my kitchen, while several persons are at the same time calling for different things, I posses God in as great tranquility as if I were on my knees". Praying continually is difficult, but I think it's harder when there are other people around. It would be neat if my relationship with God were real and present enough to break through all the tactile and interesting things that surround me to command my attention.
