HOLY WEEK.

Hi guys, hope all is going well! I really liked how simply this weeks devotion was written. I think we've all read or heard the story millions of times, but this time felt different. I feel like it may have been the first time I was completely able to fully wrap my head around the idea of self sacrificial love. So many people were shouting at Jesus and calling him an imposter. Shouting that he should be able to rescue himself if he really was the Son of God but he stayed. He let the soldiers take him. He could have climbed down. Or simply said a word and I would have stopped. But he didn't. He stayed and died on the cross. For us. "It wasn't the nails that kept Jesus there. It was love." That has to be my favorite part of this reading coming out of this week. The least we can do is take up our cross and live our lives for Christ as he sacrificed himself for us.
