brian - week four - study

these devotionals help me in my spiritual growth A LOT, wow - i am so thankful and blessed to be a part of this awesome ministry as we grow together and serve God with open hearts!

this week's section hit me especially hard since i really don't like studying, shoot - whoever DOES like to study, more power to ya...

i forget all the time that we are made to worship and that a lot of the things we tend to worship (success, fame, popularity, power) are all FALSE GODS!

we're really hurting ourselves more if we aren't studying God since He is the one who gives us energy, motivation, and stamina in the first place - if you aren't studying God, you're missing out! dang it, I'M missing out!

i'm always thinking of what i'm supposed to do next - what's the most important thing i have to do with this time that i have? then i neglect studying God...

the best way to grow as a Christian is simply to read the Bible and pray - that sounds so easy! but the world tries its hardest to convince us otherwise

all this other stuff, none of it will be here forever - i have to remember that! only God lasts forever, everything else fades away.

i feel like i hear this all the time, but i'm glad i got a wake up call this week to study more and spend more time with The One who gives me life
